MY SAVIOUR GAVE IT ALL (Poem)

“1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

My Saviour gave it all
To ransom us, he descended from glory,
All by choice, it wasn’t mandatory,
God’s brilliant love showering like rainfall

My Saviour gave it all
For us, a weeny child he became,
A testimony to the miracle we shall reclaim,
God’s glorious peace radiating over all

My Saviour gave it all
Born humbly in a lowly manger,
Swaddling clothes wrapped up to his collar,
God’s good will released as snowfall

My Saviour gave it all
Rid of his riches, he became for us poor,
All that we could enjoy abundant grandeur,
God’s plenteous grace lavished on all

My Saviour gave it all
Not a word he spoke, as he was ridden with accusation,
That, overflowing pleas may abound for our intercession,
God’s uplifting mercy cascading like a fastball

My Saviour gave it all
Sentenced to death, he accepted the verdict,
By his love, he ransomed us from hell’s edict,
God’s eternal redemption established for all

My Saviour gave it all
Nailed to a tree, our curses he bore,
Heavenly hosts cried for the Son they forever adore,
God’s gracious gaze for once was turned

My Saviour gave it all
For us, he arose to perfect our redemption,
He defeated Satan and vanquished his opposition,
God’s pathway was made eternally open to all

My Saviour gave it all
For he has ascended to prepare a place for his own,
That we may sit together one day on his throne,
God’s perfect Will revealed all in all

My Saviour still gives his all
To all that humbly receive him,
For He will equally accept the one, full to sin’s brim
That God may Father him like he does us all.

“Romans 10:9-10 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Jesus is ready to welcome you home. Just receive Him into your heart today and your life will never remain the same again.
