“Hebrews 11:6 (NIV) – And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
“Hebrews 7: 25 (NIV) – Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.”
These two scriptures reveals a very important truth in a clear and lucid language and manner. The fact that Jesus is mighty to save is indisputable and inarguably valid from these two verses. Jesus has the power, the authority and ability to save men from all manners of trouble. His strength is even capable to triumph over man’s greatest difficulty and challenge – SIN.
The havoc that sin has wrought in this world is massive. The culminating effect of sin and the evil works of mankind has brought this world to a state of decadence and great trouble. But hope is not lost yet. According to the will of God, Jesus has provided a way out of this nightmare that everyone is faced with.
Jesus is able to deliver every person that comes to God through him. He doesn’t save in parts or portions. He doesn’t deliver you from one sin and leaves the other sins smearing your life with shame. He doesn’t save you from lying when leaving you to face the fits of anger you can’t control alone. No! He doesn’t do that. He is able to save completely. As a matter of fact, He is able to save to the uttermost.
He has taken the entirety of our sins and He has nailed it to the cross never to be remembered again for those who have come to trust in Him. However, a vital point that must not be overlooked is the next portion of the verse;
“Hebrews 7: 25 (NIV) – Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him…..”
There must be a wholehearted approach towards Jesus before he can save you completely. You must run to Jesus in absolute surrender if you want to be free from the power of sin and the devil. You can only have access to God through Jesus alone. An illustration will adequately suffice in explaining this. Suppose your school provides a completely free personal tutor for a particular subject you happen to have failed twice. If you do not approach the tutor to guide you in areas you’ve been having problems, you will eventually fail that course again. However, if you take advantage of the free opportunity provided and you approach the tutor to guide you and teach you, then you will excel in that subject. This is exactly the same thing I’m saying about Jesus. He is the free tutor. Maybe you have been failing consistently in pleasing God, or you’ve not been able to initiate a successful connection with the network of Heaven, or maybe you’ve been struggling with sin over and over again, Jesus can save you. Run to him today! His free salvation doesn’t discriminate. He can save you completely.
Closely related to you running to Jesus is your disposition as you run to him. Hebrews 11:6 says, “without faith it is impossible to please God…..” You must have faith in the power of Jesus to save you. Do you actually believe that Jesus can save and pardon you from all the terrible sins you’ve committed? If you don’t, then you need to have a change of mind. You need to have FAITH! You need to believe. Jesus will completely forgive all your trespasses and terrible sins if you confess and repent from all your sins. He never scorns nor rejects. He is mighty to save. He can deliver you from sin completely. He has the power to do so. I ask you today, do you believe he can? I want you to believe because I have seen His mighty saving power in my life.
Lastly, I need you to understand that no measure of sin can trump the value of God’s limitless, mighty saving grace. His grace for salvation is greater than any sin and it is freely made available today, embrace it.
“2 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV) — (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)”
Say this prayer if you’re ready to surrender your life to Jesus Christ;
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I come running into your arms. I confess all my sins and I promise I will never go back to my evil ways. I believe that you are mighty to save. Please save me from sin and evil. Fill my life with your overflowing joy and I will live for you forever! Amen!
