“Psalms 34:10 (KJV)
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.”
The man who puts his trust in his fellow man has the proclivity to fail and fall flat, but whoever puts his trust in God shall not be put to shame. Our text tells us that sometimes, the young lions do lack, and suffer hunger. Can you imagine the children of the king of the jungle dying of hunger? But, the truth is that sometimes their mother do not catch prey. Some days may come with certain limitations. The mother lion may be weak or sick. When one of these happens, the young lions will lack food, and suffer lack, despite the fact that they have a capable source of all things.
As humans, our hope should be in God alone. He is the only One that does not disappoint. When you put your trust in man, he may fail you, even if he doesn’t want to. He may just lack the capacity to help. Men who put their trust in their wisdom sometimes make a headway. But this does not happen all the time. Sometimes, their wisdom fail them, and they become like common men. Your wisdom, knowledge, strength, influence, and money may save you some of the times, but God is the Saviour of all times.
Psalms 23:1 (KJV)
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
The young lions make the mother lion their source of livelihood and suffer sometimes, but he who makes God his source and shepherd shall not want. He shall not want any good thing, because all his needs would be met.
Philippians 4:19 (KJV)
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
He supplies all without fail because He’s in charge of everything. When you are in charge of everything, you have no limitation whatsoever. And you are in charge because you are fathered by the Almighty – the One in charge. This is His will for you, that you have all you want and be well. He wants you to prosper.
3 John 1:2 (KJV)
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Above all things, God wants you to prosper. How beautiful is that? Therefore, you don’t need to panic amidst challenges and struggles of life. Rest assured that God is able to work all things together for your good. Declare your victory in Christ. Have faith in His powerful name.
1 John 5:4 (KJV)
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Romans 9:33 (KJV)
As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumbling stone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
The young lions may feel ashamed that they could not have all they want, but anyone who puts his trust in God shall not be ashamed. Everything may fail, but God never fails. Seek him, and you’ll find him. He’s a present helper in times of need. Hallelujah!
