Psalms 27:1 (KJV)
[1]The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Many believers know that Jesus is their Saviour, but not so many know him as their salvation. In the text above, the Psalmist declared the Lord as his salvation. Jesus is not only the saviour, but also the salvation. Our Lord is both the end and the means of everything God gives. This is truly so because he’s God’s all – God’s everything. When we were lost in sins, God called us home by giving us Jesus. This is the truth. Do you know Jesus as your salvation? Can you boldly proclaim like David did?. It is what he knew and declared often. Psalms 118:21. What a profound revelation he had! In that same verse of our introductory text, the Psalmist said the Lord is my light.

David saw the Lord as the light, not just a light giver or a source of light. It is true that Jesus is the one who lights our path, but it is important to know that he is the light. He is the light that brought us out of darkness. Sometimes, we pray earnestly for light but fail to realize that having Jesus is having light.

In case you have not got the message, and wondering why does it matter. Let me say it again. Jesus is the way to God, way of salvation, and he is the salvation. Jesus is God’s everything. He is both the end and the means. The end is no different from the means. Can you see the difference? Let’s check more texts.

1 Corinthians 1:30 (KJV)
[30]But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Jesus is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption.

Following the same explanation;
Jesus is our wisdom. He is also the one who gives us wisdom without reproach. James 1:5.

Jesus is our righteousness. He is also the one who teaches us and gives us the ability. Titus 2:11-12, Philippians 2:13.
Jesus is our sanctification. He is also our sanctifier. Heb. 10:10.

Jesus is our redemption. He is also our redeemer. Heb. 9:12, Titus 2:14.

John 14:6 (KJV)
[6]Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus did not only made a way, he is the way. He did not come to tell us about a truth, he is the truth. He did not just give us life, he is the life. Jesus is both the gift and the giver.

Did you notice what Jesus told Martha in John 11 account of Lazarus’ death? Jesus said, “ I am the resurrection.” Yes, he is the resurrection and the life.

Why is it important to know this?
As believers, understanding this truth will make us rest in the absolute power of Jesus. This is how God wants us to know his Son. He does not want us to look for a method outside the Son. When you see Jesus as your helper alone, you tend to apply natural wisdom and see someone who is faraway. But when you see him as your help, your very present help, you rest assured in him, knowing full well that he’s got everything under control. While it is true that he’s the one who heals you from all sicknesses and diseases, it is important you see him as your healing. That is, seeing Christ himself as the healing of your body. See him as your deliverance. See him as your freedom. See him as your strength, joy, and peace. Know and see Jesus as your life – your all. How you know him will determine how you see him.

2 Peter 1:3 (KJV)
[3]According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Brethren, have this knowledge that through Christ, God has given us all things. God did not give us many things. But, he gave us Christ Jesus who is made unto us everything. First, believe he is everything you need. Then, trust in him. He never fails. Even when it seems you don’t understand how things are going, when everything does not go well according to human perspective, just have faith in him. He’s all you need, and he is the provision. Keep in step with him. Stay focused. Get your mind stayed on him. He is the hope of glory. Realizing this is peace and rest. And when you break through, you will discover that your patience and trust in him have grown.

Hope this blessed you. Remain blessed. Share this with family and friends. God bless you.
