2 Corinthians 3:18 (MSG)
And all of us, as with unveiled face, ( because we) continued to behold (in the Word of God) as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; (for this comes) from the Lord (Who is) the Spirit.
This above scripture explains that as we look at the glory of God in a mirror, we are metamorphosed; we are changed into the same image, from glory to glory. What does this mean? We know that a mirror only reflects whatever is set before it. Now, as you study the Word, the reflection you see is the glory of God; that’s the real you. This is what the Lord is asking you not to forget. When you read your Bible, particularly the epistles, you see whom God has made you. This is what the Lord is asking you not to forget.
The Word of God is the mirror of God. Therefore, God wants you to see yourself according to the Word. As a believer, the Word of God should project your image. The Word should be the light of your life.
Believers need to continue to behold, as in the mirror, the Word. A constant and continued beholding brings about constant transfiguration. When you always see yourself in the mirror of God’s word, you will always remember how you look.
James 1:25 (KJV)
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Keep beholding in the Word until you capture your true picture from the Scriptures. When you keep looking into the perfect law of liberty, you will always remember how you look. James 1:25 says that you should continue therein, that is, continue beholding yourself in the mirror of the Word of God. The man who does this shall be blessed indeed.
I hope this blessed you. Share it with everyone around you. God bless you.
