GRACE COST CHRIST EVERYTHING

Grace, grace!
We all love that word, we all want the benefit it brings and the privilege it offers but the its significance is mostly misjudged. In our world today, people take grace to mean luck and coincidence.

How inadequate that notion is. If only we know how powerful that word is, how much weight it carries. See, grace is that sacrifice of Jesus which purchased salvation for everyone who believes on his name. Again, grace is God’s unmerited favour shown to us. It is not luck and some natural coincidence. That grace is accessible to all that come to Jesus. And to tell you plainly, grace cost God the life of his Son. It cost Christ his own life. On the cross of Calvary, Christ bore the full weight of sin. The sin of the whole world. How heavy it must have been! Therefore, we must not take the grace of God with levity. The grace we have received is not to be treated cheaply. We must honor and revere the God of all grace who gave His precious Son to die for our sins.

While we were still in sin, while we were still in the depths of self indulgence and vanity, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God expects that we live our lives in a way that pleases him and in a way that brings glory to his holy name.

Also, God doesn’t have pleasure in the death of any man, the love he has for us prompted him to give his only Son as the sacrifice for our sins. Jesus is the one and only perfect sacrifice for sin.

Romans 8:32 (KJV) He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Grace is free for us the recipients but it cost the giver (Christ) his life. Imagine a man giving his only son to save those who have offended him and wronged him. That is what God did for us by giving us Jesus as a ransom for our sins. Some people may insult God’s grace, reject it or scorn it, but that never reduces the value of Grace. The value of that grace is found in the love God has for us.

The punishment for sin that everyone of us should have carried, Christ took it all. Because of his love for us, he died in our place and gave us a hope for tomorrow.
My message to you today is that of Grace. My message is that you do not scorn and reject the grace of Jesus. His grace had been made available to everyone willing to receive him. You don’t need to struggle again with sin, you can find life and peace in Jesus. You can have a new life and a renewed hope.

Titus 2:11-12 (KJV) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

The grace of Jesus, the unmerited pardon is available for you today. Don’t reject that offer. That grace cost Christ everything, it cost him his life. Why not receive his grace and live your life to please him? Come to him today and receive his life giving spirit.

Say this prayer with me: Father, please have mercy on me. I have scorned and rejected the grace of Jesus for these past years of mine, I have rejected him and ventures in my own path. I am so sorry Lord. I pray that you wash me clean of all my sins and cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised him from the dead for my sake. Please create in me a new heart. Help me live for you. Amen.

Welcome to the family of God. Please find a Bible believing church in your environment and grow in the grace of Jesus.

If you were blessed, kindly share this post with your family and friends. God bless you. Amen.
