A NEW COMMITMENT TO THE GREAT COMMISSION

Welcome to another episode on this blog and I believe you would be greatly blessed. Kindly open your heart to receive from God Himself even as you read through this awesome piece. Today we'll be treating a very important topic in the body of Christ, which is A NEW COMMITMENT TO THE GREAT COMMISSION. We'll be dealing with understanding the commission and our responsibility as Christians. I know this topic isn't new to majority and perhaps it's new to you, I trust God that at the end of the piece, you'll have an understanding of what the commission is and live it. The Great commission as the topic says is the mandate Christ Jesus gave to his disciples to carry out when he was about leaving the planet earth. The Bible made us understand in 1Timothy 2:4 that it is the desire of the father that all be saved and a way to carry out the desire of the father is that the news of the Gospel (God's saving power) be preached to all nations. Let me note here that it is because some people obeyed this command that you're saved today and you also need to obey and carry it out for others to be saved. What is this Commission? Saint Mathew and Mark gave us a record of this commission. Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV)  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Mark 16:15-16 (KJV)  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned
